This setting of verses from Psalm 139 is for mixed voices and piano accompaniment with an optional flute (or violin) obbligato. Varying homophonic textures are used in the text setting, which builds to a dramatic climax, followed by a short contrapuntal "Alleluia, Amen" to end the piece. The piano accompaniment is mildly challenging, providing support to the voices without doubling them.

Music industry veteran CARL NYGARD has more than 200 published choral pieces, some of which have been performed on six continents. He has been active in the music ministries of the United Church of Christ, the Lutheran Church in America, and the Assemblies of God.
